All bookings are subjects to the following conditions:
ACCOMMODATION
1. A booking will not be valid until it has been confirmed in writing by both the client and the hotel and any deposit requested by the
hotel has been made and a receipt sent to the client. Thus, unconfirmed bookings are not guaranteed. A deposit of £ 10 per
person per night is required to secure the booking except for Bank Holiday Packages where the deposit is specified separately.
2. Cancellations must be made to the hotel in the first instance by telephone, and then in writing. The following cancellation fees will
be levied:
One Calendar Month or more before arrival date: Loss of Deposit
Under One Calendar Month before arrival date: Two-third’s confirmed price of stay
Any revenue received from the re-letting of cancelled accommodation will be deduced from the cancellation fees.
3. All prices are subject to change without notice up to 90 days prior to the arrival date unless previous confirmed in writing. In this case the customer has the right to cancel the booking without any cancellation fees.
4. Payment for accommodation must be made on arrival, unless a previous arrangement for the account has
been agreed in writing, in which case payment must be made on departure on presentation of the account. The hotel reserves the right to charge interest on late payments of outstanding accounts at a rate of 8% above the Base Rate.
GROUP ACCOMMODATION (8 persons or more)
1. A booking will not be valid until it has been confirmed in writing by both the client and the hotel. Thus unconfirmed bookings are not
guaranteed. A minimum deposit of £10 per person will be required to secure the booking.
2. On any change in the original number booked with the hotel, between the date of the booking and the actual date of the function,
the hotel reserves the right to reallocate room to suit final numbers confirmed, and a supplement may be charged to cover the
additional cost.
3. On the cancellation of the whole or any part of the confirmed booking within 90 days of the event, the hotel will make a cancellation charge as follows: Bedroom Accommodation: 80% of the quoted charges based on the original number of persons reserved,
less any amount recovered by re-letting that accommodation.
4. All prices are subject to change without notice up to 90 days prior to the arrival date unless previously confirmed in writing. In this
case the customer has the right to cancel the booking without any cancellation fees.
5. Accommodation requirements, menu and an indication of the final numbers must be given no later than 30 days prior to the
function. Any rooms unsold at this date are automatically released by the hotel for re-sale.
6. A charge may be made for any additional costs of any nature incurred resulting from the late departure or conclusion of any
guests.
7. All Group Accommodation deposits must be paid no later than 10 days before arrival. The hotel reserves the right to charge interest
on late payments of outstanding accounts at a rate of 8% above the Base Rate.
GENERAL
1. The hotel will not be liable to any guest (or any members of the guest’s party) for the death of, or injury to the guest or any
members of the guest’s party, or loss or damage to the guest (or the guest’s party) property, unless due under the Hotel
Proprietors’ Act 1956, or to the hotels negligence (or other failure by the hotel to perform its obligations under these Terms or
under General Law).
2. The hotel’s responsibility for loss or damage to guests (or the guests’s party’s) property (even if the hotel is negligent) is limited to
£50 per item with a maximum of £100. Those limits do not apply to property deposited with the hotel for safe keeping.
3. The Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement and no change will be made to them in any individual case unless they are
made in writing and confirmed by an authorised employee of the hotel.
4. The hotel will not be liable, nor deemed to be breach of the Contract by reason of failure to perform any of its obligations when the
failure or delay was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control. Such causes would include flooding, fire accident, power cuts,
strikes etc.
5. Employees of the hotel are not authorised to make any representations unless confirmed in writing to the client.
6. All guests must provide their own insurance for personal belongings and clients will indemnify the hotel for any damage done
by him/her or his/her guests.
7. The hotel will not be liable for typographical, clerical or other omissions in its sales literature.
8. The hotel reserves the right to move guests to an alternative room, either within the hotel or at another comparable hotel,
provided the room is not of an inferior standard.
9. The hotel is unable to guarantee that all of the many facilities at the hotel will be available for use during a guests stay and is
unable to make any refund or reduction in its charges if this should occur.
All cancellations tendered to the Hotel will only be accepted when confirmed by
both the client and the Hotel in writing.
